Halibut Fishing

Thunder 1 Adventures offers unique live aboard fishing charters out of Prince Rupert British Columbia. You stay and fish aboard the mother ship so you are never far from a place to warm up and relax. The boat is called the M.V. Thunder 1 which is a classic 52′ Wahl Trawler. Wahl boats were a mainstay of the coastal Canadian fishing fleet for many years. This boat is a great way to truly experience the tranquil west coast of Canada. Overnights are spent in peaceful anchorages close to the halibut fishing grounds, you’ll be able to get a fishing rod in the water for the early morning bite. You can also expect great food as it’s been prepared by on of your hosts. On more than one occasion guests have hooked up a halibut from the back of the Thunder while anchored up for the night. We feel you’ll really enjoy staying aboard our vessel.
